Reconcilliation of intellectual property rights with the concept of open innovation has been an ongoing area of concern for firms pursuing new product and service development in networked environments. A recent working paper by University of London’s Birgitte Andersen explores the issues as they pertain to the ICT based services industry. Abstract Quote: “IPR legislation in its current form is providing very exclusive broad rights for a long period.
